It took me a while.

If I was to work with other people and others with me, then we needed to know each others skills and preferred tools.

I will try any tool once and I prefer to learn from another enthusiastic user.The induction responsibilities which come with choice is the responsibility of the advocates.

A formula I follow - The more who know a tool within your group, then the less there is to teach.

So when suggesting leading edge tools may have hugely attractive features, unless your community knows how to use them they mean nothing.
